Displaced
South Africa - August, 2017
Along South Africa roads everybody is trying to go somewhere, hitch-hiking, asking to be picked and dropped. Along the roads there are people who miss the minivans and look at them going away, people who can’t afford the tickets and try to offer little money or something else to any passing drivers. Others who collect things along the way to try to exchange something to anyone that might take them on. People that wait hoping to get a ride out of pity, or at corners trying to convince people waitign for the green light. Everybody is trying to find a way to go, and wherever they need to go, the way here might be a struggle for many people.
